Janet,
As a new fan totally wowed by his Storytellers Unplugged columns, I picked up all of Sully’s books a few weeks ago. I got ‘em all at Amazon — the three still in print I bought new, the others I bought used. For titles that are out of print and not available at Amazon’s used marketplace, I go to http://www.bookfinder.com. There are not many books that you can’t find one place or the other.

Thanks for this, Sully. I read those lines and got hit by my own “Bolt from God”. I’m realizing that I’ve been drowning myself in too much sensory feedback lately. I take walks but always with a companion, I read constantly (ordinarily not a bad thing), watch lots of movies on DVD, and even in the car, I’ve had a steady diet of audiobooks. I’m hard pressed to remember when I last had an hour or more of quiet time to myself that wasn’t occupied with the input of words, music, images, or conversation.
Thanks for reminding me of the importance of having time to be alone with one’s thoughts from time to time — I’m overdue.

By the way, the reading I’ve been doing has included your novel THE PHASES OF HARRY MOON, which I loved, and now I’m 50 pages into my second Sully novel, BORN BURNING, and I’m lovin’ it to death. Your creative gifts are themselves a gift to literate-minded folks everywhere, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful fiction and non-fiction.
